100th Post Anniversary & Design Wall Weekend #4

Whoo-Hoo!  Today is my 100th published post!

Little Stitch book by Christina Fairley Erickson
Hand-dyed wool/acrylic felt, hand stitched with hand-dyed and
commercial pearl cotton, embroidery floss and yarn
This week, I've been working mainly on finishing up some little hand-stitch samples which I'm making into books.  It's a bit different from my typical heavily machine stitched and freemotion quilted pieces, but they've been fun and relaxing.  Here is my first book I've completed:

I'm still a little unhappy with my binding, but I think it may just require more practice to get it right.  Since this was my first time to actually complete a hand-made book, I'm pretty happy with it.

  3. Wow! Beautiful! The french knots are my favorite. I always love it when folks do the really dense knots. I've never had the patience for it myself but will look at it 8 days a week! :)

I dont have any fiber posts to link up this week, but would love folks to come visit... www.theboredzombie.com

  11. Oh honey, your binding is beautiful! Gosh we are terrible with ourselves!!!! I love this book. I've never seen anything like it before. It is inspirational. And also very very very congrats on your anniversary write up!!!!! That is no small feat. You sound so busy, but you also sound so happy with all you do around this. What I liked is that each page looked SOOOOO different. I don't do fibre art so I am so impressed with what I see "the binding TOO!" haha! {lovies} samara and Happy Balzering Week to you!!!!
